In October of 2015, attorney Kelly M. Dougherty will begin teaching “Law and Economics of Intellectual Property” at the Institute of Production and Recording (“IPR”) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Teaching this course on copyright and trademark law will give Kelly the chance to expand on her prior teaching experience related to contracts and licensing in the entertainment industry.  IPR is a distinctive school focusing on creative industries including Audio Production and Engineering, Live Sound and Production, and Music and Entertainment Business.

In addition to teaching, Kelly is the Vice Chair of the Arts & Entertainment Section at the Minnesota State Bar Association and serves on the Art and the Bar Committee of the Hennepin County Bar Association.  Kelly is building her practice in music copyright law and entertainment law and she represents Minnesota artists and business owners in a broad range of business matters, including copyright and trademark registration, Minnesota business formations, and the negotiation and drafting of entertainment-related agreements.  Kelly can be reached at 612.455.0504 or kdougherty@trepanierlaw.com.
