Shannon E. Eckman
Shannon E. Eckman represents clients in employment law, business law, and commercial litigation. Shannon strives to help clients resolve their conflicts with grit, level-headed insight, and empathy.
In law school, Shannon worked on developing her practical legal skills through a variety of experiences, notably through externing for a federal judge, working as a certified student attorney in the Elder Law clinic, volunteering through the Minnesota Justice Foundation, working as a research assistant for a professor, participating in the Journal of Law and Public Policy, joining the MSBA New Lawyers Section, and clerking for a small firm in family law.
Prior to law school, Shannon worked for the Olmstead Implementation Office, which facilitates policy implementation for the Minnesota Olmstead Plan—an interagency plan of measurable goals and strategies to help people with disabilities work, learn, and live life in the most integrated setting of their choice. Shannon’s experience working in disability policy and working with people with disabilities motivated her to pursue law school.
Outside the office, you can find Shannon walking the lakes with coffee in hand, reading, golfing, or watching college basketball.
