Charles A. Horowitz represents a variety of employers, business owners, executives and salespersons in employment law, business litigation, and contract matters.

Charles’ multi-faceted legal practice spans three decades and encompasses employment law, business litigation, business ownership disputes, professional licensing, class and collective actions, insurance law, defamation, probate law, and more. His breadth of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants alike in state court, federal court, and administrative tribunals, allows him to approach complex disputes with creative and practical solutions. Clients and colleagues will attest to Charles’ persuasiveness, professionalism, and passion.

Charles began his practice in New York City during the 1990s, working mostly in the areas of insurance coverage and defense. Prior to joining Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A., Charles practiced at a premier boutique employment law firm, operated a successful solo practice, and was a partner at a mid-sized full-service law firm in Minneapolis. He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

In addition to his private practice, Charles has given back through service on non-profit boards, participation in state and local bar associations, and presenting Continuing Legal Education seminars.

Charles and his wife Robin are recent “empty nesters” living in Minnetonka. Outside of work, Charles enjoys cycling (averaging nearly 1,000 miles a year), cooking, art, and spending time with his family and friends.
