Minnesota Lawyer, a weekly publication serving the Minnesota legal community, recently featured an interview with TMB founding shareholder James “Jim” C. MacGillis. The piece, “Business Focus Drives Boutique Firm’s New Leader, written by reporter Todd Nelson, ran on May 9, 2019.
The article highlights Jim’s recent election in May 2019 as President of Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A. which he co-founded with shareholder Craig W. Trepanier. Craig Trepanier served as President of the firm from 2003 to 2019.
The article noted that “Jim MacGillis, shareholder attorney and president effective this month of Trepanier MacGillis Battina, is working to make sure the boutique business firm minds its business.”
“With eight attorneys, Trepanier MacGillis Battina looks to deepen its bench but will continue focusing on litigation, employment law and transactional work” the piece quoted Jim as explaining.
Part of a regular series called “Breaking the Ice” featuring interviews with local law firm managing partners, the article also discussed Jim’s two years in Honduras with the Peace Corps and his dedication to volunteering as a referee for women’s high school and collegiate lacrosse.
Jim MacGillis is a Minnesota business attorney representing corporations, LLCs and other businesses of all sizes with business transactions including business formations, sales of businesses, mergers, and acquisitions.
