Snyder, along with attorney Aaron Hall, spoke on May 12, 2021 to the Minnesota State Bar Association Corporate Counsel Section in a presentation titled “From Startup to Succession Planning – A Checklist Approach to Avoiding Common Legal Pitfalls in Private Companies.” Their presentation covered various ways in-house and outside counsel can take steps to protect private businesses from legal liability, including auditing and reviewing corporate filings, records, and registrations, tax treatment, personnel policies and procedures, company culture, key contract provisions, real estate, intellectual property, insurance, succession planning and exit strategies, and assembling a team of business advisors, among many others, as part of a holistic, checklist-based approach to identifying and managing business risk.
